(Poster denne pa norsk senere). Posting this one in English, because I have to fix the internet thingy on my MAC again, I'm using the American computer at the moment. That's why I didn't want to write in Norwegian becuase it looks like... well um, not good.
So tomorrow is my first day of High School! Finally, a week after the other students, we get to take the yellow school bus. We spent the day getting our schedules, lockers and getting "a tour" of the school. If you are uneducated about the American school-system(which I believe most of you are) this is how it works;
High School is separated into 4 years. These are called Freshman, Sophmore, Junior and Senior year, or grades 9 to 12. I would normally be a Senior, but our school is putting every exchange student in Junior year.
Every year is then seperated into two semesters. TN has got 5 block semesters(1 block is the same as a Norwegian time), which means that we have 10 classes each year, and 5 classes each semesters. We have the same classes every day, all semester, and in the same order. I think 1 block is about 90 minutes, we're not really sure. And we've got about 7 minutes between every class, so it's not as stressful as I thought it would be.
This is my schedule:
1st Semester
1st block: US History
This class is obligatory, so we have to take it.
2nd block: Team Sports
A P.E class where you play team sports(how surprising) like volleyball, soccer and basketball. We went by the gym during that class and it was ONE GIRL in the entire class. The rest was all boys, so I hope I'll be able to keep up. If I don't I'll have to change it, and I kinda don't want to, and not for the reason you might think it is.
Lunch
3rd block: Yearbook/Journalism
The only class I have with Elin. We work on the yearbook, and that's about it I think.
4th block: Intor to Theatre
Drama class! Really pleased with this one, although the drama-teacher is said to be a bit crazy. But then again, aren't all drama-teachers?
5th block: Biology 1
Not my favourite class, but I it's better than math.
2nd Semester
1st block: Visual Arts 1
Art-class, one of the classes I looking forward to the most.
2nd block: World Geography
Not really looking forward to this one, but I think I'll be a bit ahead of the Americans in this one, since they're not really known for having the best geography skills.
3rd block: English 3 University
American Litterature, and a bit harder than other English classes, since it's an intro to University classes. Could have chosen British Litterature(English 4 University), but since I am in the country, I just went with the American one.
Have no idea which lunch I'm having next semester. There's lunch at 3 different times of the day, so I could really end up having lunch at any time of the day.
4th block: Psychology
Totally useless, but extremely fun. I have heard a lot of good stuff about this class, so I'm looking forward to it.
5th block: Journalism
Probably the class I'm looking forward to the most. You write stories, interview people, take photos etc. Sounds really, really fun.
As for sports and clubs, I'm definitely thinking about soccer, and possibly volleyball, if they're still having try-outs. Both me and Elin are joining Key Club. I'll let you know about the sports and clubs later.
Tonight we've just been hanging out, watching tv. We also ate Ice cream sundae, which was absolutely delicious.

YUM!!
OK, going to bed, so good night! Or I should probably say good morning to you guys, back there in cold little Norway. It's 23: 50 and it's still about 27 degrees celsius. Imagine how hot it is in the day! It's steaming. About 35-37 degrees every day. EVERY DAY.
